Announcement

The Government of Kenya has reduced visa fee by 50% and the visa fee for all children of 16 years old and below has been abolished. The new visa fee regulation becomes effective with effect from 1st May 2009 until further notice.

Complete and sign Form Visa.pdf (V.1), and submit with the following:

Valid passport with sufficient number of unused pages for endorsements abroad. Passport must be signed and valid for at least six months.

Visa Fee - Payable to The Kenya High Commission in either Money Order, Bank/Company Cheque or Cash. (personal cheques are not accepted)

Two recent passport size photographs
Copy of flight printout/itinerary ( proof of entry/exit from Kenya and/or Africa)
Business Visa applicants should provide an invitation from inviting (host) company in Kenya.
Pre-paid, self addressed, return envelope (express post or registered) or courier bag. New Zealand applicants should enclose AU$ 15 for postage. NOTE: New Zealand post coupons are not applicable - please do not send them to the High Commission.

NB: PLEASE REMOVE AND RETAIN THE AUSTRALIAN PASSPORTS' WALLET WHEN SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION.

Tajikistan
Lebanon

v Holders of Certificate of identity; Travel Document; or Stateless Persons and Refugee Document.

REQUIREMENTS FOR REFERRED VISA

Two passport size photographs
Two sets of visa application forms duly filled
A letter of visa request (from the applicant)
An invitation letter from the host
Referral visa Fee AU$.10
When approved the applicant will pay AU$48 (single) or AU$.95 (multiple) entry visa.
Passport/Travel Document
Waiting period upto 3 months

NB: Applications are then forwarded to the Immigration Department in Nairobi for processing.

All Questions on the form must be answered to avoid delay.

Vaccination Certificate

Immunization against yellow fever, Cholera and anti-malaria prevention medication are recommended.

Visas are valid for 3 months from the date of issue, Visas are renewable in Kenya (Contact the Department of Immigration, Nyayo House, Kenyatta Avenue, Nairobi). If applying from New Zealand, please send a further AUD$ 15 and this mission will return your passport by International Express Post - otherwise arrange for pick up from this mission by a courier of your choice ,with all delivery charges paid by the applicant.

Allow 5 working days for processing plus sufficient time for postage each way.
